Who we share your data with
We share personal data only with the providers below, who act as data processors on our behalf or as independent controllers as noted:
- Hostinger — our website hosting provider (server access logs).
- Beehiiv — newsletter platform that processes your email if you subscribe (independent controller for delivery, sub-processor for the list).
- Resend — transactional email provider for any direct replies.
- Umami Analytics — self-hosted analytics on our infrastructure (no third-party transfer).
- Affiliate networks (Awin, Impact, Partnerstack, Skimlinks, others as approved) — when you click through an affiliate link to a third party’s site, those networks may set their own cookies; the receiving advertiser becomes an independent controller from that point.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share data for cross-context behavioural advertising.
International transfers
Some of our processors are based outside the UK (notably Beehiiv and Resend in the United States). Where this is the case, transfers are safeguarded under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or equivalent Article 46 mechanisms.
How long we keep your data
- Enquiry data: 24 months from last contact, then deleted.
- Newsletter list: until you unsubscribe.
- Comments: for the lifetime of the website unless you ask us to remove them.
- Analytics data: 26 months (default).
- Server logs: 30 days, then automatically deleted.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Have your data erased (“right to be forgotten”)
- Restrict the processing of your data
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent (where consent is the lawful basis)
