Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: April 2026.

This page explains how AI Business Kit (aibusinesskit.co.uk) earns money and the role affiliate relationships play in our content. We publish this disclosure to comply with the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) guidance on UK affiliate marketing transparency, and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) endorsement guidelines for any US readers.

How we make money

AI Business Kit is supported by affiliate partnerships and direct revenue from our document templates platform at docs.aibusinesskit.co.uk. We do not display third-party banner advertising and we do not run paid placement (“pay to be reviewed”) arrangements.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a tracked link to a third-party product or service. If you click an affiliate link and go on to make a qualifying purchase or signup, the third party (or an affiliate network on their behalf) pays us a commission. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you had visited the third party directly.

How we mark affiliate links

We mark affiliate links in three ways:

  1. HTML attributes โ€” every affiliate link includes rel="sponsored" in the HTML, in line with Google’s affiliate marker convention.
  2. Visible disclosure โ€” articles that contain affiliate links display a clear disclosure note at the top.
  3. This page โ€” the central reference for our overall affiliate practices.

Affiliate networks and direct programs we work with

We participate in (or have applied to) the following affiliate programs:

  • Skimlinks, Hostinger, Cloudways, Amazon Associates UK, Awin, Impact, Partnerstack, CJ Affiliate, Rakuten Advertising โ€” and direct programs operated by individual brands we cover.

The list evolves over time. The relevant networks are referenced in the privacy policy as data processors.

Editorial independence

Our reviews and recommendations reflect our genuine assessment. We have a few principles we stick to:

  • We recommend tools we would actually use ourselves or recommend to a UK SME running on a tight budget.
  • We never inflate ratings or rankings to favour higher-paying affiliate programs.
  • Where we recommend a product we have a commercial interest in (most obviously, our own document templates platform), we disclose that conspicuously.
  • If a product we previously recommended deteriorates, we update the review โ€” even if it costs us affiliate revenue.

Comparisons and rankings

Our comparison posts (e.g. “X vs Y”) are not ordered by commission rate. They reflect our editorial view based on our own testing, public documentation, customer reviews and pricing as published at the time of writing.

Free templates and direct products

Our document templates platform at docs.aibusinesskit.co.uk is our own product โ€” we make money directly from it via Stripe payments. The free UK NDA template is genuinely free; no card required, no upsell pressure during generation.

Our principle

If a recommendation only makes sense because we earn commission on it, it shouldn’t be in the article. We try to apply that test consistently. If you ever notice a recommendation that doesn’t pass, please tell us at hello@aibusinesskit.co.uk โ€” we’ll review and if necessary remove or rewrite.
